2007 1 in December, China sporting goods industrial enterprises realized total industrial output value of 61,313,721 thousand Yuan, 19.39% over the same period in 2006; 2008 1 October, China sporting goods industrial enterprises realized total industrial output value of 55,906,766 thousand Yuan, 16.67% over the same period in 2007.


Fitness equipment industry in China is developing rapidly at the same time, some issues are also increasingly exposed. In particular the lack of well-known brands in the international market, low value-added products, at the same time, compared with the international advanced level, a number of manufacturers still in the generic production, product development and technology innovation capacity. In the consumer area, compared with the developed countries in Europe and America, fitness equipment products in home penetration rate and per capita consumption is still very low for fitness.


China fitness equipment industry must take advantage of new developments, to increase scientific and technological innovation, and strive to improve product quality, strengthening independent research and development capacity, the departments concerned should work out gym uniform safety standards as soon as possible, strengthen after-sales service. Only in this way can we remain invincible in the new situation.
